Berdena’s is a locally owned coffee shop in Old Town Scottsdale. The owner, Jonathan Madrigal, is just as passionate about coffee as he is the community built around it and didn’t skip a beat when it came to the details of this beautiful coffee shop. He even named it after his great-great-great-great-grandmother. The shop is characterized by beautiful ceramic tile, a light blue espresso machine, wooden tables, and bright orange patio furniture, making it an aesthetically pleasing place for all your foodie photos. The coffee is from Ritual Coffee out of San Francisco, so you can rest assured all coffee drinks will be delicious, including the “Drink of the Day” (think honey lavender cappuccino). If you’re not in the mood for coffee, check out the “Not Coffee” menu of teas, chai lattes, orange juice, and more! Yes, Berdena’s has amazing coffee, but they also have a simple, yet tasty breakfast of items like yeast raised waffles with Vermont maple syrup and berries; avocado toast; baked goods; and housemade granola with your choice of milk or yogurt. If we had to choose our favorite coffee shop in Scottsdale, this would be the one!
