Newpark is located a few miles from Main Street Park City in an area with shopping and restaurants, like Vessel Kitchen. It’s not as fancy as some of the Park City resorts, but it isn’t as pricey either. Each room is spacious making it great for a family vacation or weekend getaway. The rooms here scream “lodgey”, “cozy”, and well…Park City. We stayed in a Luxury Suite, which featured an open floor plan, king bed, fireplace, washer/dryer, queen sleeper sofa, tv, full kitchen, large bathroom with heated floors, and my favorite part, a deck with a hot tub and beautiful view of the slopes. The only downside to the patio hot tub was that it wasn’t necessarily as private as they say. You can easily stand up and wave to your neighbors, which makes it a little awkward if you’re enjoying a romantic getaway. The only other slight downside, was that the indoor/outdoor pool area was super small. When I think of a resort, I picture a more luxurious pool, but at least they had one! On the plus side, they have free parking and a free shuttle service to downtown, perfect for the Sundance Film Festival! The good far outweighs the bad here, especially when it comes to price.
During our stay, we took advantage of all Park City has to offer like the Park Silly Market, boutique shopping, miles of hiking, and dinner at one of the best restaurants on Main Street, Fletcher’s. Newpark is a great spot to stay, whether you are looking for summertime excursions like hiking, mountain biking, and ATV tours or a winter wonderland of snowboarding and skiing!
